The material of the Abbott Collection (Acc. 24008) was mounted and prepared for study, the North American species of Acc. 24136 (about 500 species of Colooptera and Hemiptera) were identified for Prof. L. Bruner, Lincoln, Nebr. and a large series of Lepidoptera was identified for Mr. C. A. Wiley, Miles City, Mont. The arrangement of the North American collection of Myriapoda was completed. Including the Bollman collection, bought by the Museum during last year, it ranks as the largest collection in existence and contains 160 named species in 325 alcoholic vials, arranged in 12 large drawers. The large Dipterous family Tachinidae was also arranged as far as possible according to European genera, our American species being mostly undescribed.
