Twelve temporary accessions were duly reported upon. The collection in the Hymenopterous genus Gorytes was loaned to Mr. Wm. J. Fox, Philadelphia, Pa., for special study and were returned. Dr. A. S. Packard, Prodidence [[Providence]] R. I., loaned Datana californica, 2 ex., and 1 blown larva for his monographic work in Bombycidae. Mr. Chas. E. Burden of this city visited the Department to study the collection of North America Carabidae. The office was closed, up to the 10th of the month.
