In reply to the remarks contained in receipt "of account of Stores pertaining to Bureau R.F. and A.L." for month of June 1868 informing me that the expenditure of 48 Buckets or Pails Wooden, as expended for Sanitary purposes, in whitewashing the residences of freedpeople in the District of Columbia is disallowed, I have the honor to state that the said 48 buckets or Pails wooden, will be taken up and accounted for, in my account of Bureau Stores for the month of July 1868 and carried thereon until inspected and condemned

We have no evidence that employment can be provided this "Youth," should transportation be granted to Pittsburgh Penn a - I think from his disjointed statement, that he is either dishonest or his mind is unsound - I cannot see how his condition will be improved by being transported to Pittsburgh Penn-a

In compliance with special orders No 55 dated Head Quarters Asst. Commr D.C. Bureau R.F. and A.L. ordering that a Board be convened to apprize the value of a garden owned by O.S.B. Hall Agt. Bureau R.F. and A.L. at Campbell Barracks near Boundary Street bet. 5th and 7th Sts Washington D.C. we the undersigned members of said Board have the honor to report that the said Board convened at - Campbell Barracks, and after due consultation and consideration recommend that the following amounts be paid to said Hall Agent.
For Seed                 $16.00
Cabin's Hire             $17.00
Present value above cost $17.00
Amount                   $50.00

Your Board respectfully recommends that immediate steps be taken to cultivate the potatoes, that this Bureau may thereby become fully reimbursed in the above amount, and all farther necessary expenditures incident to raising and gathering the crops.
