Endt. back on com of
Mr. L. R. Anderson

EB 1 Vol 373. O.L.S. 859.

Office Local Supt. D.C.
Washington June 12" 1867

Respectfully forwarded. The records of the Criminal Court of the Dist. of Columbia do not show that any person by the name of Cornelius Anderson (colored) has ever been on trial for any offense.
Mr. Moore, an Att'y at Law, states that he defended a colored boy for the same offense as is stated in this communication (but under an assumed name) who was sent to the Albany Penitentiary for two years. But as he has destroyed all his old records he cannot give the name nor the date of trial, is confident the boy he defended is this same Cornelius Anderson.
