A.E. Verrill, so far as general collecting was concerned.  Prof. Verrill having already furnished now, or having in course of preparation, a report on the general results of the work I need not refer to it here. At your request, Prof. Verrill selected, at Wood's Hole, a large series of the Commoner species of deep sea invertebrates collected, for our reserve series, and I also procured large suits of duplicates for the -duplicate sets.
