The work of putting up the third series of duplicates, the so-called educational series, was begun early in the month, and will be completed the latter part of April, in all probability. This task has proved by no means a light one, as it involved the handling, wrapping in cloth or bottling, and the labeling of a vast number of specimens. The cutting of the labels alone occupied three days.

A large number of specimens have been transferred from old bottles and fruit jars to the new glass-stoppered jars, recently received, and this new stock of jars has enabled us to complete some of the sorting of old matters, which had been stopped from the want of proper receptacles.
