Administrative Work.

In accordance with the general plan of cataloguing instituted by the Museum, two series of catalogues are kept in this department.  The first or serial catalogues are in book form, and permit of the entry of specimens as they are received, without regard to their exact zoological relations.  They are of the nature of a day-book, or property record.  For convenience sake, these records are divided according to the principal zoological groups, belonging to the department, as follows, a separate book and separate series of
