The Chancellor concluded the discussion with the statement that no action would be taken at this time. 

Mr. Ripley announced also that during the illness of Mr. Bradley he had appointed Mr. Charles Blitzer as Acting Assistant Secretary of History and Art, a position authorized by the Regents several years ago. Formerly Director of the Office of Education and Training of the Smithsonian, Mr. Blitzer has been most effective and is a valued staff member. Mr. Ripley advised that he would now like to appoint Mr. Blitzer as Assistant Secretary and introduced him to the Board. Mr. Blitzer's vita is summarized as follows.
