Dear Sidney,

We have been at home about all day and it has been quite cold but it has been pleasant which seems good after all the rainy foggy weather we have had. I have been having quite a lot of pain in my bowels lately and Charlie Swan suggested that it might be my appendix and sent me into Boston to have some x rays. I went in Thursday and Friday and I expect Charlie will get a report tomorrow. I hope he dont find anything serious for I think we have had enough trouble for awhile. Ralph goes back to Hanover tomorrow morning and they both start school on Tuesday. Ralph didn't have his tonsils out but had a mighty big tooth out which took the pep out of him for two or three days.
