moving out with all her trunks and traps down to the Leggis upstairs tenement which she is renting temporarily for a month. Billy Legge has taken down 2 loads of stuff. All of her stuff has gone except the books in one secretary. I think Lena is rather desperate anyhow, but what can I do? I've done my best to soothe feelings and make them all at peace. Alice is enjoying it all hugely at least, and my mother in spite of outbursts is having a pretty good time! I am dead tired and confused but things will straighten out by tomorrow or Sunday. I feel sure, and we shall make some selection.
I have had your suit out both days. I can't find any shirt yet but will make another hunt. Bertha Green has only fitted one summer dress this noon up here, also staying a couple of hours in the midst of Lena's moving, people coming, eh. She was vastly entertained by the cats! Everyone seems to be enjoying such happenings!
The baby is hunting for burlap bags for an old store basket for the cats. I have to get supper
