Dear Sid:

Your letter came today telling of your staying at home with your cold. I have been anxious all along and worried over you., and wish I were there this instant. I have called up Mrs. O. who says she is feeling better, though, and if nothing more is heard from me to the contrary will return Fri. night enabling me to get off Sat AM. on the early train to Boston to catch the Colonial that will arrive in Wash Sat. evening. I don't know whether that is a Biolog. Soc. night or not, but can manage all right if you aren't there. I have a key to the house. If I get word you are not well in tomorrow's mail and need me, I will start Friday A.M. & Mrs. O will come Thurs. night. In case of emergency I have provided that Alice Wentworth, (Gladys' mother) will come over & help out. She promised over the telephone to come this weekend if needed. We are still keeping Mr. Cobb at $3 per night.

On the other hand if you are out of danger and Pa is suddenly worse by Sat. and we think may not last more than a few days, I will telegraph you to that effect.
