night and today he is flapping and flopping like a fish, and we are all tuckered out with him. I suppose these spells of activity & exhaustion will alternate to the end. My mother naturally hates to have me go. I wish I  could be more easy in my mind what she will do afterwards. She wants to live right here and not be bothered with anyone to keep house for her. But she isn't fit to be alone. She doesn't want Gladys, doesn't think she could go on with Lena- altho Lena appeals to her most of any of them. Alice W. apparently is still going to get married, so that is out of the question. But we can't decide all that in the next 2 days.
