Thurs. AM.

Dear Sid:

Our train got into Boston at 5 min. of 8,— an hour late. We got the 9.30 bus from Mattapan. We had a good trip up,— the train was crowded, some standing, suitcases everywhere, and soldiers & sailors. We found Mrs Barry up, my mother still awake, when we got home at 10 P.M. It is much cooler here, so I wear a sweater, but was hot earlier. Doris is busy with her rabbit this morning. Will call up about bicycle soon. I had good luck getting a taxi up, (25¢) with our baggage. Will you send over sugar ration slips, as the folks have very little on hand? Hope you are cooler and well, and the cat's stomach all right.
Doris.
