Sat. 26 July 1941

Dear Sid:

We are having very warm weather & muggy,— poor you in Wash D.C. Yesterday Doris & Mabel played together all the afternoon. Amy came over and I painted the bathroom entirely. Doris & I picked enough berries for a pie this morning before breakfast and she is making the pie now. I am going to paint a little more today. All the animals are fine. Cat sleeps most of the time this hot weather.
