Sunday AM

Dear Sid:

I am keeping out of Mrs Barry's before-church temper. Doris has been changing her mice and has made a good impression with them altho Mrs B. says if they get loose she will go for them with a broom. My mother isn't quite so savage. The cat is out wandering - he was a nuisance last night, yowling and scratching at the door half the night. I think he feared we were going off without him. Doris let him out and he came up on our beds and was as happy as could be squatting down beside us. I think he knows you are gone, and may think we are going to slip off too.

Hugo is wandering about too with his nose into [[evrything/anything?], as curious as the cat. He & Mrs B. had a morning amiable argument over the coffee in which they maintained their own
