Dear Sid:

Our hot days came to an end last night when a cool breeze from the northwest spread slowly over the countryside. Today has been so bright and clean and cool, but not too cool.  I hope you got off all yesterday afternoon,— you should have with a 100° temp. I expect you are off today with Richard at the beach. I hope you haven't gone too far and gotten too tired. 

We went swimming down at Harris Pond yesterday (Sat.) all the afternoon. Doris got a lot of little fish which all died before she got them home and several bullfrog polywogs, which she has put in the big water glass. She
