Dear Sid:
You are home by now and having to get your own meals and put up your own lunches.

We are having a rainy day. Our old cat after eating a whole haddock head decided the roof was likely to be the most peaceful and undisturbed place for a sound morning snooze. I was sitting out in the porch when the shower broke, - a regular smart deluge. And all at once I heard a great thump and beheld the cat on the way down. He was in such a wild hurry that he leaped and caught a branch by his fore paws and swung about it, and then grabbed
