today it made quite a difference to him who they appointed- The paper says, Ginger Curtis, Thomas Mara, Walter G. Pratt, Frank Smith of West Stoughton, Frank Jordan, Walter Evans are candidates. May the best man win- Fred is quite anxious to know who the lucky(?) one is and hopes they elect someone next Thursday night at the Selectmens meeting- met Lanigan This morning in the Sto. Trust Co. and told him I was joining to give him the property Exclusively and just before noon I gave him the terms in writing good until Aug 1st and he says he is going to put his time on it and try and sell it and I have quite a feeling that he will put his best effort in doing so and feel more hopeful than I have at any time. and that we have something definite started and he surely has a good commission in sight if he makes good on it.

Evidently the shad dinner [[strikethrough]] dinner [[/strikethrough] passed off without any serious casualties this time which reflects very creditably on the President- Have rented my house on Britton Ave which became vaccant on April 21st. Have been very fortunate about letting that but it is a dandy bungalow. Much love and hope to have some good news on the house before many weeks Ralph-
