one of the Stoughton papers was started by Lester Gay was elected to the Legislature. Last night I heard him make a speech at the Odd Fellows and I guess the Legislature is in for a long session this year for he is sure slow and moderate in his speech. It is too bad there isn't work for everybody then we wouldn't have time for so much political talk - there must be lots of hot air in Washington these days. Love to all and tell Dot to write a letter to her uncle

Dear Sidney,-

Just a few lines before breakfast to let you know that we are well and that nothing very exciting has happened lately. We had quite a little fall of snow but it turned to rain and made it first very slushy and afterwards very icy but it is about gone on the roadway although the fields and lawns are still white.

Received your postcard telling about Dot wanting to see the lion. You will have to get her one for a pet. Fred Drake the iceman is the Westboro
