[4 June 1930]

Dear Sidney,

Can't remember just when I wrote you last but it must be a week or so, perhaps more. Decoration Day has come and gone and we are now in a warm spell. Maude and I took flowers to the cemetery the day before Decoration - we got a large blue hydrangea for Pa and Ma's lot and with some flowers of our own it looked good. The inscription is on the stone now. Decoration morning after going to the cemetery for inspection to see that the flowers were OK. Maude and I started for Hanover to bring Ralph home with his boy and baggage et cetera. We stayed over night there and came back Saturday, reaching home about five o'clock. It is about 175 miles each way and we had good weather except for a light shower on the way up.
