FINANCIAL REPORT

Fiscal Year 1995 and Pending Rescission Action

Federal Appropriations: Pending Congressional rescission action, no major changes are anticipated in the distribution of amounts appropriated for fiscal year 1995 from those reflected in the approved budget, with the exception of Smithsonian-wide support funds.

The House and the Senate have each passed a rescission bill that proposed reductions to prior year and fiscal year 1995 appropriations for construction accounts. The table below indicates both House and Senate versions of the bill. The differences for National Museum of the American
Indian Cultural Resources Center construction and the Air and Space Museum Extension planning will be resolved in Conference following the Easter recess.
