it seems as if I could never stop and I go on writing about nothing. You know I always said I never knew enough to go home when I was with you: well it is the same when I get to writing to you I never know where to stop.

Here I have written 3 or 4 letters since I have been here in Paris and hav'nt told you a think about the city, about it's characteristics I hav'nt the slightest idea how many letters I put in that word but kep on till I got to the end of the line. I suppose it is all excitement in the U.S. about the election. Are you interested in it yet? Does Harry belong to any of the torch light companies. Should have thought the Mother hubbard ours would have been very first rate. I did not go into any of the churches yesterday (fĂȘte day) I hav'nt got as religious as that yet but expect to, so that when Maggie converts you to Catholicism that it wont give me quite such a shock. You get nothing but that here, greasy old priests in black gowns and hats - you see them every where. I had one by my side on top of the buss the other day; he coughed in my face all the way up here. I left him on there still coughing when I got off and thought he might be there still but saw him down town yesterday, so I suppose
