as some people do. The summer they spend in London, for it is then that the House of Lords meet, also Parliament and all London may be seen here from the last of May to the middle or last of July. Well you may immagine that the boys are not going to Brighton or anything like it. oh no! they are going where it is cheap and where they can work out of doors. I dont know whether I shall go with them or not, I am going to paint a picture of a square near the house if I can get where I can paint in doors; that is Mrs. Fletcher know the people who live in the house on the corner of said sq. and is going to try to get them to let me sketch in their dining room. If I cant do that I shall either go to the beach or down to a school where we can work as we like. I suppose you will have had your Thanksgiving dinner &c. before

you get this. Anyway I hope you have a lovely time and wish I could be with you. We had some  baked beans last Sunday also Friday. Mrs. Aldrich told Mrs. F. how to do them. It seemed quite like home to see the g. o. beans. I ate some as I thought that it would not do to go back on a national dish when away from home. Mrs. F. is also going to give us a Thanks. dinner. She is real nice and will do anything for any of her borders. It is needless to say that she is not English. I think I shall have to stop now as I have bored you enough for one time. Give my love to all the family and any friends, if I have any. I dont think I shall send home any Christmas presents as it[[strikethrough]] will [[/strikethrough]] would cost you more for duty than they would be worth. I will bring them when I come. If I ever do.
