went to work as if nothing had happened.

These are only samples of the odd things we see here; something funny occurs almost every day but I forget it when I get home and get to talking art and so don't give you the benefit of it.

I am awfully glad you like Miss Aldrich. I think she is a nice little girl and think you and she might get along together immensely. Which does the most talking? I rather think she does. I should think she would be lots of help to you in your french as I guess she knows quite a lot about it. She also wanted to know if I object to her (mother's) taking you [[strikethrough]] tho [[/strikethrough]] to the theater when she and hub went, which I thought was rather rich. I guess I will tell her that I don't expect you to go out of the house during the time I am gone. I should think I was

a regular jailer to hear these people talk.

If you haven't any news to put in your letter dear; why just tell me how much you love me. I know it isn't news but it is better than all the news you can write. I get rather lonesome sometimes and when I think there is a little girl at home who loves me it braces me up and drives away the lonesomeness. By the way I haven't had the blues this time yet.

Is that pretty good for me dear?

Occasionally I dream I am at home with you that is the nearest I come to it. I am glad you like the school only dont work too hard and write when you can and tell me how much you love me as often as once a week and I will call that news and good news too. Love to all the family and heaps of it for my future. I am going to write to mother H. now so will stop. Ned.

and going to write to mother S. as soon as I can
