wish he would soon return.

My sister in law and my niece sailed yesterday and telegraphed that all went well while they were on board. It was a great satisfaction to have seen them, and to know just how things are, they were greatly shocked when they saw me, not having realized how ill I have been. I have hope now for the first time, and can be patient, until I get more weight. I trust you will have a pleasant summer I am so sorry not to have seen you before you leave, but look forward

to seeing you on your return. I send you a letter I received from a first cousin of Mary Anton, (an Italian Jew not a Russian) but they are all alike and think themselves capable of giving us all lessons in everything. I think Mr Stillman may be amused in reading it. I want to keep it as a document. Please thank Mr Stillman for sending the motor, and with kindest regards to him and much love to you and Bessie.

Very affectionately yours
Mary Cassatt
