Dear Aunt Eliza-
May and I are just home from a walk after dinner along the wall of the river from the Pont de l'Alma which is one bridge, to the next one which is, I dont know what. It was 8 PM when we started, and broad day-light. The horse chestnuts are all in bloom now, and there are five rows of them with wide spaces between along these, which is called the 'Cours la reine' - Robins and other sweet noted [[?]] little birds build in those trees and you hear them going to bed
