I shall take Miss Conants home with me and eventually give it to her—  Mr Harrison's is his and he is going to give me something of his in return for it - the last scrap of his would be good enough in exchange as I dont consider it as much of a chef-d'oevre [[chef d'oeuvre]] as Mr Seurat—  Mr Hoeber has taken his home with him to America and you will probably see it in some Exhibition—  I asked him to send it to Phila if he was ever sending anything else there—  It is pretty strong—  Mr Harrison said about it to comfort me - "You cant always do like that - if you did we'd all be taking lessons of you"

It is a joke is'nt it - about Aunt Sarah and her art studies - She really did very well and I'm glad she at last gave you the amusement of knowing about it—   I have written to Mr Stirell and all the other people I have been neglecting - though I cant

in Paris but what no one else will have if we dont get there pretty soon.   Photographs are an awful temptation - I do want such lots of them, and they are not cheap here—  Got a dozen to day, and have got to have a lot more—  I have also looked at a chair and an old frame - but hav'nt made up my mind about them yet - did get a bag of dirty old soft silk - for 4 francs.

Prof Craig, Mr Burne's friend has been to see me three times and on Saturday when I could'nt go May took our Cards and went to call on Mrs C.  She has not been here - is rather an old and delicate person, but Mr Craig is going with us to a church tomorrow, and will also show us his studio—  
He is a quiet little old man with something - very little - about him that reminds me of Mr John Biddle—
