Mr V.I. has brought home a number of Turner Water Colors - Uncle W. saw them standing about the parlor.  Mr V.I. has just returned from England.  Some of the Water Colors were about like some which sold for $3000 each in New York not long ago! — But what is that when you think of the diadem on exhibition at Maria's which Tom W. bought at the Grand 

Auction at Paris for $50,000 - for his wife! It is diamonds and sapphires.—

We have the Xmas Graphic and Times - with lots of big colored prints! — We can decorate the whole house with them! 

How would May carry her Camera all round with her when she had no trunk! did she go without a nightgown? The cold is gone  I rejoice to know by the goings and doings reported in our letter of today I was thinking how we might send over some of Dr Mc's powders to check the cough &c - fearing this might be a beginning of a winter sickness - and then the handkerchifs all left in that trunk somewhere in space! - but a friend was provided with warm socks - O how wonderfully God has cared for the "Innocents abroad" a place at the Lord's Table appointed for you! in a Strange Land.
