accent at all but as he must have learned it after middle age it is wonderful that he should speak it as he does - they sang some lovely hymns and there were two or three prayers all in French of course - Altogether it was a very interesting and curious service and I was glad I went. I went up and gave Mr. McCall my letter of introduction and he was very kind although it was rather dragged in as I had had it so long and was going away soon and had all the friends I needed any way - Miss Tammy Lea was lovely and I was very glad I met her. She introduced me also to Mrs McCall who was a nice comfortable looking person - but I only had a word or two with her. Mr. Dardier was very glad to see me and asked after you all. I'm sure I wrote this before but you won't mind hearing it again.

The idea of The Bacons coming to 44" St-! I argue from that that there must be a lot of houses finished around there and I am trying to imagine how the backs of them look from one back windows- What a pity they are coming. I am not afraid of Dr. Bacon. It will be jolly to have him come in and stir us up in the evenings and I hope he will do this but the horsecars- I shall always be meeting him there - However it will be better than Mrs. Baker. 

The time is getting awfully short over here and I wish there were two Septembers for I do want so awfully to finish what I have begun.
