the Studio tea last Spring & she talked as if she thot [[tho't]] of Mr Balch what every one else thinks of him - said she tho't when she introduced him to you that it would just be fun, & that you would think as every one did of him. Said more over that she was surprised at your befriending him, & distressed now for fear of what might be the consequences! how you said she told you she would not mind marrying him herself! She just floats about on the wind like a butterfly, any way at all. I did not think she was that kind of a girl.   May be you had more of a time with Radcliffe than you mentioned.  As for me I am sick of love affairs.
