is so narrow that they can only go single file and the men of the different colleges [[?]] along the bank shouting and cheering on their boat. All in their flannels and bright college colors. They spring watchmen's tables when their boat is getting ahead and they want it to sprint. It was all exciting and jolly and almost more fun was the getting [[strikethorugh]] down [[/strikethrough]] up the river afterwards. All the spectator boats trying to get through pushing and jostling in a good natured way. One even went to their rooms and dressed and and then came back to us to dinner.
Of course if we go back to C we shant have so much 'sassiety' and gayity. but I shall not mind omitting garden parties.
