I have also three [[strikethrough]] statues [[/strikethrough]] reproductions of to my mind the choicest sculpture. The work in the photo is [[Falgair's?]] famous Diana the original of which is viewed in the art museum, Boston. Then in another corner the famous Donatello's boys head, - and the other a [[strikethrough]] mysterious mask [[/strikethrough]] mask, mysterious in expression of a beautiful woman. Eventually I want to buy a group of children made of the Italian school for my writing table. I have changed my 'femme de menage' The old one was the concierges wife. [[strikethrough]] He [[/strikethough]] She charged a dollar a week to keep things to meet the sum. It was a great bargain day. The list that I bought is enough to furnish a studio and comes apart so that it can be packed in a very small space. I have paid fifty dollars for it. From Mr. Purshall's studio to mine there is some difference but my one piece of furniture is so fine that it places my studio in the lead of all the younger artists here. I bought a fine rug for 30 francs "Turkish" and with my lounge covered with that four tables with good coverings you can easily imagine the effect --
