ΒΆ These are stormy times with the excitement anticipated in Macedonia, Turkey &c this Spring. Surely there must be some reason and need for Bob's profession. I received a note from Bob lately he writes a better letter than he used to.

Recently I have written to twenty news-papers in the Western States asking if they desired a weekly letter from London.

And also with another chap I am probably going to start a private art class for ladies only. We should teach painting in oils water-color and book illustration. My friend Richardson is very well connected, and has done work for all the principle magazines in London and the States have also published his work - Shall write you more later on this subject - He could get right away a number of fine people to patronize the thing, and I am able to find one or two - we could get when the thing is moving Sargent's influence and Abbey - for they are continually turning away would be pupils - and the chap Sargent sent all his to (the American) I forget his name has left London --

I am working hard trying to move every opportunity to my advantage - and at the same time my work is improving.

[[Strikethrough]] Sincerely yours [[/Strikethrough]]
that sounds like Robert, so I send love to all
- William -
