My dear Father

My work this week is intensely interesting. The old man is posing. Yesterday and today he made lunch for me in my studio we had yesterday Omellete fromage spinnach and Pommes Puree - with wine the whole costing thirty-cents-

He is a good model - and a grandfatherly old man -

We went this afternoon to visit the house of his partners where they make shoes. At the door we were received by a thin, tired, bent woman who had two pretty children clinging to each side of her skirt. In the room beyond was the shoe shop. I had seen this shop before, and have decided not to work in it.
