Upon being elected a member of the Royal Academy each artist gives one of his paintings; in the diploma gallery there is an interesting exhibit of these works which runs as far back as the time of Reynolds, Stuart, and  Copley. The latest acquisition is a painting by Sargent called "A Venitian Interior". Wonderful. It is a rejected order. It represents four people; sitting, some standing, in a large richly furnished room. The would be purchasers thought the face of dear "Hubby" was not all that it should be. Most of the modern work there, is astonishing; so ordinary.

I believe the third name is Copley, as in John Singleton Copley, that is mentioned after Reynolds and Stuart. I put his name in, but that is what my quick research seemed to be the most reasonable. I also think that that word in quotations later reads "Hubby", but I could not find if that is a John Singer Sargent painting or not.
