My dear Mother-

I send you the Times account of the past century- I should appreciate it if Helen or Bess should put these things contained, in a scrapbook- Some parts are rather interesting.

This afternoon I attended - a splendid exhibition at the Burlington House. A collection of works executed by members of the Royal Academy - Member who had passed away. Altogether it was the greatest show of the last century's work one could see. "Little Billie" of Trilly fame had five works there. He died at the age of 35, but left some good solid vigorous work behind- Millias, Leightons, Calderons, Ford Maddox Brown, Rossetti's, Frank Hall's [[strikethrough]] all had [[/strikethrough]] works were to be seen some represented by several canvases.
