Send Bess over here next fall. Here we can hire a studio piano and two rooms for $200. And live cheaply. Then next spring we would go to London and paint some portraits. Tell Sis to brace up and put on some stoutishness and Sept. 12 sail over. Shall answer Father the next mail. Saturday went sketching along the Seine. The Exposition is still very interesting beautiful buildings. Shall send you some sketches of different subjects that cross my path. Please buy a nice [[strikethrough]] sketch [[/strikethrough]] scrap book and paste each work in order. It will be of great value some day to me and a pleasure to you. Goodbye love to all. Your William
