90 rue d'Assas, Paris Octobre 20 1902 My dear Mother, It would be hard to give you a detailed description of the interesting possibilities that one discovers in painting children. They suggest their own poses. For instance for over a week now a little mire of less than a year old has been posing. The first picture I painted of it, the baby was with a cat, on the third sitting during one of the rests it discovered itself in a tall (full length) mirror. We could not get it away from it; [[left margin]] offered as agreed any criticism, and probably is not using them. I shall send no more (unless I hear from him.)
