shall commence real winter work. Preparation for the Salon, Academy, and New Gallery. I almost am sorry that I am sending my St. Louis jury the large reproduction of the Salon work. It is such a good Show card for London. So if they refuse it I can work around to the new Gallery. If it goes to St. Louis it stays away for one year. I have as yet not been forced to take a larger studio owing to commissions. But hope to catch onto the wheel of good luck this winter. The Fords are coming here Sunday with friends. Afternoon tea No.1. Dear Mother it is not always good fortune to own a horse. Put a leading strap on David. Write me often. Love to all.
William
P.S. Send Boston work. On December 5th or perhaps 1st
