occasionally and we are glad to dine somewhere else.  We had a little talk in the garden of the hotel and had a fine time together.  It was quite light at eight o'clock and the air was so mild that we did not need our coats.  Our one regret was that the monkey had retired, for it is always entertaining to watch his antics.  You will remember my descriptive of the hotel monkey.

Later in the evening [with for ?] that we should dtake a bus ride, so we climbed [?] on an minibus ride and took a long ride to the other end of the city.  On board of French gypsies were holding a fair, and it was amusing to see the crowds around a man talking fortunes.  then I wish you might have seen seven different kinds of Merry Go
