Dear Doris:

Got your letter and an earlier postcard yesterday. I suspect we haven't written for a couple of days. We have disposed of most of the pears & peaches by eating, gift, and rot, have the remainder in the ice chest where they keep fairly well. — Called on Robinson this afternoon; he has been out for over a week with supposed gall bladder trouble, and is now to go up to N.H. for 2 weeks' rest. He gave me some green soy beans. Dolores came over last night. She & D. had been out to supper but didn't go to the dance. Love ISB ('cause there wasn't any dance.) Dear Mother: if Dad does go up Dolores & I may come too. Did a big wash this afternoon, am going out with Ted tonight. I got a job at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that starts Monday. [[strikethrough]] We [[/strikethrough]] (Dad) cultivated the tomatoes.
Love,
Doris

.I think this letter is from two different people (ISB and Doris) and breaks midway down the page.
