been transferred to the West Hall, where all the dried collections are now safely housed. It is hoped, however, that the use of the West Hall for storage purposes will be merely temporary, as the display collections it contains are of great interest to the general public.

The work of classifying and properly arranging the collection of Echini has been nearly finished, the few species still unidentified being such as will have to be taken to Cambridge, Mass., for determination. All of the specimens of this collection have been entered in the record booke, and catalogue cards for the same have been made out and arranged in systematic order.

The dried Gorgoniaus have been partly overhauled, and many of the species identified and catalogued. As soon as the work upon this group can be finished, there will be a number of duplicates for distribution. A large number of the species have been mounted and
