-Dept. of Energy has lots of programs for girls that are successful at stimulating interest in math and science: (Girls Scouts program near Fermi Lab in Chicago, Hands On Universe Program in Pennsylvania)
- DoE also has current review of lab education programs for women; trying to link math  and science with the trajectory for young women's education

J. Stutsman:
-NSF willing to fund more programs focusing on K-12 science and math education
-list of 1992 awardees for Career Access for Women and Girls
-list of 1993 awardees for Model programs for women and girls
       (UCI awarded for providing undergraduates to serve as role models and lab instructors for high school girls)

S. Kass:
-Operation SMART (science, math, and relevant technology) started in 1984, provides hands-on activities and career development options for girls
-80% of all Girls, Inc. affiliates have these programs

R.Failor:
-Math/Science Network created in 1976; Expand Your horizons Conferences convened every year
    (for 6-12th grade girls)
