little gray one with the flowers is written for tourists, but I think gives one a good general idea of the monuments and their purpose. The yellow book is very interesting; he was sending some to the french savants and to the [[strikethrough]] professors in [[/strikethrough]] English when I was at the museum. If I understood him rightly, it seems that they never have been able to decipher any of the inscriptions on the Menhirs and Dolmen. This seems to be one of the first interpretations and it seems like a very possible one to me.

The flowers I am sending you are of the different kinds that I found in Brittany
Wish that you could have seen the yellow Goarge. I have never seen such pure masses of brilliant yellow before. The little piece I am sending you has lost all its rich odor. I am sorry as I wanted you to to smell it.

Now to answer your letters and questions. At first I thought your german letter to be faultless but I have just discovered, you have written "dine Mutter it ought to be deine, ei has the sound of i in german. I think you know this as you have it correct
