Paris. April 15 1910

Dear Grace.
Just received your letter full of American spring, it creates a desire in me to be with you.
Am sorry that the flowers you speak of sending are not in the letter. It certainly seems that our first spring flowers to each other are bewitched. I did not mean to make you feel blue when I asked about your interest in writting [[writing]] to me.
I am sorry that we cant spend the spring in Switzerland together. If I go to Italy, I shall arrange to go in a way which will not take me in sight of the Alps, then perhaps we will have our first impression of them together. I will do this if it pleases you.
I have only one sketch of apples that has any qualities in it at all. It is not carried on very far but as far as it goes
