Lord, you must be having a fine time, boy.  Write me all about it.  I know you have "got it" and that the world will be hearing from you before long.  How I wish I could be in Paris with you.  I would be if I felt it was right to put the ocean before my family and myself.  But it wouldn't be.  As far as schools go for painting I think the old "touch' one not" advanced has a shade on my class in the world so I feel that I'm making good use of my time.  When the year is over I am sure I'll have had all the school I need.  I had no trouble in doing without criticism while working alone this summer.
But gosh all hemlock, I could have a grand time with you in Paris. There are mighty few people I'd like to be there with, for most boys make such damn food of themselves as soon as they get there.  But you know what are the really interesting things to do.
