am fully recovered. Am better than I have been in years and am getting to work again. Am so comfortably settled here and have such a perfect studio that I can hardly contain myself-

While I have not written to you I have thought of you often and Mrs. Alexander and I have often spoken of you and your wife. We shall be delighted to hear from you and to know that all is well with you, as it is with us.

Our baby is in prime condition and is beginning to talk French like a native. I had a letter from Col. Allen a few days ago, but he never mentions you. I suppose you do not often meet. Do write and tell us all about yourself. With best regards from us both, to you both.
