by this time well over it and for good.

We met at dinner at the Whitelaw Reids the other evening - a Pittsburgher - Mr. Waring - who knows you. He seems a pleasant man and his wife is very nice.

We have dined with them since and they have been here on one of our Saturdays. This is a Saturday and I am trying to rush this before the people begin to come. The weather is and has been perfect, bright and clear and bracing. You know this is my first winter in Paris and I expect rather disagreeable weather but so far can ask nothing better.

Am sorry about that letter. It may have turned up since you wrote.

Much love
Signed John -
