informed me that her best dress got torn - & you said last year you could not give her a dress - because you had to buy Liberty bonds! I told her I was going to ask you to bring something from France to her - So do try to get her something, a pretty trinket or other. 
Jerome wrote he hoped to get up here in a week or ten days - We so hoped he could come before the lilacs faded.  They are so wonderful this year.  Mrs. hyms just left.  She has seven people there - and she is busy getting her places in order.
