troops drawn up - on either side - Mr. Whitlock was in U.S. car ahead, and I in the next with Maj. Hoffman - only these two cars went sailing up the Ave, with wildly cheering crowds on either side, as they caught sight of Brand Whitlock. I felt like a "Kink"

We drove back immediately after the celebration, a reception followed at the Legation so we had quite a party.

Mr. Whitlock is going to pose for me for a sketch, probably this week.

"Gee" I must stop my back is getting busted. 

Have started on big canvas the portrait.
